To begin a project for Re-formation!
We are in the beginning stages of a project that will present a means to side-step so much of what has becoming of American Christianity of the right and left. For the sake of our Life in Christ and for those who do not have a knowledge of or love for God, we seek a way to be the Body of Christ in authentic integrity.
We are all enculturated into a means of understanding the world and our place in it - we are formed from birth knowingly or unknowingly. In this formation process, we acquire many attributes that work contrary to Life of Christ, His teachings playing out in our lives, and limit our ability to understand God's desire for us and all His Creation. All of this not only affects us individually, but also the communities we belong to from parish to city to country.
When we make a decision to turn and follow Christ, we begin a process of "re-formation" as God renews our minds, hearts, and intentions. It is easy to be swallowed up in the Systems-of-this-World and to be distracted by the cares of the world. We often live deficient Christians lives.
In this effort, we wish to establish a means of giving ourselves to Christian formation to be "re-formed" out of the City of Man and into the City of God. For a time, we will live in intentional-community while continuing our regular lives. We will commit to the Rule of Life of the community, one with many. We will commit ourselves to the simple process as old as the Church, the Tradition - that which has survived and is being revived throughout the Church universal. We wish to set in life spiritual disciplines as experienced within Anglicanism that help us to live best the Christian Life.
